Lemar has gone all soulful on us - and it actually sounds pretty decent! ‘If She Knew’ is by far his finest work to date as he ditches his poppy sound in favour of a deeper, soulful rhythm. Already rotating on numerous radio stations, his gentle vocals complement an upbeat, R ’n B backdrop.

IT is a cold, bitter Wednesday night and as I am led down the winding corridors of the Birmingham Academy dressing area, I have no idea just what to expect from young up and coming rockers Black Tide. I have been told they have a number of rock and roll stories they could tell me.

NICK is back with another ska, sing-a-long anthem to brighten up your day but when you compare with his previous offering, ‘Oi, rude boy,’ there’s actually not much to write home about. To do that, would be a little fair however as Harrison’s previous single was something if a class apart.

PERHAPS the best way to familiarise yourself with Only Men Aloud is to imagine the stereotype of a male choir. Now think of what happens to the majority of talent show winners as they struggle to build on early promise. Got that? Good, now subvert each one!

IMAGINE my delight receiving this release in the post to review. One of the greatest rock bands around today whose music will live on for generations but I must admit, at first listen, I was a little perplexed. For they have changed somewhat to the classic rock sound we are all used to as a nation.

IT’S official! The Streets are well and truly back to their best. ‘Heaven For The Weather’ is a fine recording, the quality of which even beats that of his huge hit ‘Dry Your Eyes,’ which first introduced the world to Mike Skinner.
