The Birmingham clinic is the first of its kind to offer an innovative BreastHealth Risk Assessment which uses lifestyle and genetic factors to predict personal risk and hence preventative measures and sits alongside the existing centre at Spire Parkway.

BreastHealth UK offers comprehensive, personalised and private breast screening services, designed to help worried women gain fast access to the support or peace-of-mind they need. Early detection of breast cancer reduces the need for surgery and improves survival and quality of life. At present, routine NHS breast screening is available for women between 50 and 70 years of age. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women under 35.
The cause holds a special place in Emma's heart as she recently lost a friend to breast cancer and so was delighted to be able to open the new clinic. MyBrumTv went along to the event to welcome the new clinic into the city.
