Visitors were treated to an incredible array of top cuisine; all supplied by a selection of top restaurants such as, Simpson’s, Opus, Lasan, Malmaison and Fillini Reastaurant at Radisson SAS hotel.
One of the main attractions of the event was the third annual restaurant awards, which was an invite only gala evening, where the culinary excellence from the heart of England were being celebrated.
Restaurants such as Purnell’s, Simpson’s, Thai Edge and Ceilo, battled it out to win such awards as best restaurant and best restaurant service 2008. This battle was hosted by Saturday Cook’s Mr Anthony Worrall Thomson together with ITV Central’s Jo Malin, with a full celebrity and guest presenters in attendance.
There were about 50 exhibitors within the festival, also music from the jewellery Quarters favourite live music venue, the jam house and in the VIP area, we were treated to world famous jazz artist’s as part of the Birmingham international jazz festival.
All in all the event was a feast of exciting elements that make for a real ‘taste of Birmingham’.
Well done to all who visited and took part.
